Reports directly to and is a member of the Technology Management Committee and indirectly reports to the Guild Historian.
This Technical Specialist position could be filled by the Guild Historian.
Summary
Provides technical support for the activities of the Guild Historian, including data entry, computer software and hardware maintenance and updating, advice regarding program capabilities and limitations, and other support as requested.
Time Requirement: 2 to 3 hours per month
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meets regularly with the Technology Management Committee
- Communicates regularly with the Guild Historian
- Evaluates current technical needs and provides solutions
- Enters data or trains others to enter data into the applicable software
- Ensures a system of backup and archival of essential data

- SmugMug, an internet application for creating and showing photo albums
- Adobe Photoshop, a software program for editing and archiving photographs
Position Qualifications
- Basic knowledge and familiarity with the SmugMug application and Adobe Photoshop software

- Should have access to PC computer or laptop, Internet access and email
- Must possess great patience
