The Heard Museum is deeply grateful to the individual donors whose spirit of generosity is consistently remarkable and without whose support exhibitions would not be possible.
These donations were given to the museum by varied collectors who recognized the artist’s ability to transform and create a work of art. The artworks in this exhibit are linked by the creative abilities of each artist.
These donated works were given in 2012 and 2013. Other recent gifts can be seen in Stories Outside the Lines: American Indian Ledger Art, The Houser and Haozous Family: Celebrating a Century, N. Scott Momaday: Art and Poetry and BUILD! Toy Brick Art at the Heard, while still others will be shown in exhibits in 2015.
