Student Art Committees

These committees manage Student Art and the annual Student Art Show & Sale.

Student Art Coordinator

The Student Art Coordinator is appointed by the President to serve as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the committees under his/her jurisdiction.

Student Art Show & Sale Committee Chair

The Student Art Show & Sale Committee Chair is appointed by the President, with the assistance of the Student Art Coordinator (SAC), and is responsible for implementation and execution of the Heard Museum Guild American Indian Student Art Show and Sale (SASS).

Student Art Note Card Committee Chair

The Student Art Note Card Committee Chair is appointed by the President, with the assistance of the Student Art Coordinator (SAC), and is responsible for the selection, design, printing, packaging, marketing, selling (wholesale, retail, and direct), and order fulfillment of American Indian Student Art Note Cards.

The Student Art Note Card Committee

This committee keeps its members busy throughout the year, selling cards, filling orders, and drumming up business. We can use salespeople, volunteers with marketing and advertising expertise, in addition to anyone who wants to have a good time and work on a worthwhile project.

Student Art Grants Committee

This committee reviews grant applications from teachers whose students are participating in the Student Art Show & Sale.  These grants support art programs in junior and senior high schools by providing funds for the purchase of art supplies and materials.

Student Art Scholarship Committee

This committee reviews applications from participating students to determine who will be awarded a scholarship at a post-secondary institution.

This committee assists the Director of Museum Education to conduct the Symposium.
