Recognition and Awards

In recognition of the commitment, time, and effort made by many of our members, the Guild has several annual awards.

Presidents have provided leadership for a large and diverse organization.  This takes a special skill – and a lot of patience.  Thank you.

Service Hours Awards are given each year to recognize the tremendous number of volunteer hours provided by the members in service to the Heard Museum.

Special Achievement Award is given in recognition of the member’s contribution of outstanding and original ideas.

Special Recognition Award for Continuation of an Existing Project is given to acknowledge a member’s contribution of time and dedication to an existing Guild project.

Annual Education Awards Given to recognize significant contributions to the Las Guias program of the Heard Museum Guild.

Annual Library Awards are given for outstanding volunteer work in the Billie Jane Baguley Library.

Annual Shop Awards are given for outstanding volunteer work in the Museum shops.

Lifetime Achievement Award:  The purpose of the award, established by the Guild Board in 2012, is to recognize those who have made significant contributions of service to the Guild, especially those who are not able to continue the level of service that they had in the past. The Award is presented at the Guild’s Holiday Brunch in December. Think of them as the Guild’s Living Treasures.
