About The Guild

Note Cards

The Guild's American Indian Student Scholarships are funded through the sale of Note Cards.   Each year, a set of cards is produced using images of the art created by the student artists participating in the Guild's annual American Indian Student Art Show.  With the advice of the Heard Museum Graphic Designer, a Note Card Committee selects the pieces of art to be considered for each year's set of cards.  On the opening night of the Student Art Show, the visitors who attend have the opportunity to vote for their favorite pieces.  The art pieces with the most votes are photographed and made into the note cards for that year.

Note Cards, appropriate for a variety of occasions, are sold in packs of eight.  Some packs have eight different images, others have the same image on all eight cards.  Over the years, a number of images have been added to the  inventory.  A selection of cards are available in the three Heard Museum Shops and at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.  They are also sold in selected shops and galleries in the Southwest and in Florida.

Profits from the sale of these beautiful and unique Note Cards support the scholarships that are given to American Indian students each year.  In addition to the first year scholarships; second, third, and fourth year scholarships are also available.  The number of scholarships awarded each year depends upon the amount of money raised.

The members of the Note Card Committee are dedicated to making educational opportunities available to American Indian students.  They select the art as well as produce, pack and sell the cards.  To assist them in this effort, donations can be made to the Heard Museum Note Card Scholarship Fund.
