Student Art Coordinator

These committees manage Student Art and the Indian Fair & Market.

The Student Art Coordinator is appointed by the President to serve as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the committees under his/her jurisdiction.

Student Art Show & Sale Committee

This committee plans and organizes the annual Student Art Show & Sale to provide young artists in grades 7-12 an opportunity to display their art, to compete.

Student Art Note Card Committee

This committee raises funds to provide scholarships to American Indian students and grants to teachers whose students have participated in the annual Heard Museum Guild American Indian Student Art Show & Sale.

Student Art Grants Committee

This committee reviews grant applications from teachers whose students are participating in the Student Art Show & Sale.  These grants support art programs in junior and senior high schools by providing funds for the purchase of art supplies and materials.

This committee reviews applications from participating students to determine who will be awarded a scholarship at a post-secondary institution.

This committee assists the Director of Museum Education to conduct the Symposium.

The Note Card Committee

This committee keeps its members busy throughout the year, selling cards, filling orders, and drumming up business. We can use salespeople, volunteers with marketing and advertising expertise, in addition to anyone who wants to have a good time and work on a worthwhile project.
