The Note Card project is part of the Heard Museum Guild’s Youth Art Show & Sale , an annual event for American Indian students in grades 7 through 12. The images on the cards are selected from the entries in the show.
Since 1992, sales of the Note Cards have raised over $300,000 to support the Museum’s Internship Program for American Indian students who are pursuing degrees in indigenous cultures, fine arts, and museum studies at Arizona State University. These interns serve in various capacities in the Museum, earning valuable real-world experience in their fields.
In addition, Note Card sales provide the funds for grants to art teachers in public, private, and tribal schools where classroom populations include American Indian students.
The 5″ X 7″ Note Cards and envelopes are sold in packages of eight and are blank inside for your personal message. Each artist’s name, tribal affiliation, and age are printed on the back of the card. The cards are also available for purchase at Heard Museum events.

Look for Heard Museum Guild Note Cards at major museums throughout the country, including the Heard Museum, the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in both Washington, D.C. and New York City, Western National Park Association sites at Tucson and Bandelier, Xanterra sites at Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Canyon, as well as other prestigious museums, galleries, and gift shops.
