Staff Appreciation Luncheon Committee

The annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon is the Guild’s formal tribute of appreciation for Heard Museum Staff, all of whom support our success in a wide variety of ways, and vice versa. Traditionally a pot luck meal prepared and served by Guild members to Staff, this event usually takes place on the first Thursday in November.

The Guild Staff Appreciation Luncheon Chair

  • Reports to the Guild Programs Coordinator.
  • Oversees the planning, organizing and serving of the annual luncheon.
  • Establishes an overall theme, menu and corresponding décor.
  • Recruits 16 to 20 volunteers to help set-up, serve, and clean up after the event.
  • Secures food supplies sufficient to serve approximately 150 people by:
    • Soliciting food donations and cash contributions from the Guild membership
    • Purchasing additional food items needed to supplement those donated
  • Submits a brief annual report to the Guild Programs Coordinator, and/or as requested.
  • Reviews the job description on the Guild website at the end of each Guild year and reports changes to the Guild Programs Coordinator.
